Fusion Creating a Futuristic Interface
Chapter 00: Introduction
In this tutorial we will explore techniques in Black Magic’s Fusion to create a futuristic Interface. We will create many elements that will be used as assets for the 3D space. We will examine various nodes and see how we can create the same type of effect from different approaches. We will also automate the animation process using the built in functions in Fusion and finally grade our shot.
Chapter 01:Creating Elements For The Base
In this chapter we will have a look at some references for interfaces and begin to create our own. We will start by creating elements for the base of our interface and prepare it as an asset to be used later in 3D space. We will look at how we can automate the animation and keep keyframes to a minimum.
Chapter 02:Creating Additional Elements For The Base
In this chapter we will continue building complimenting elements for the base. We will build the main area for our earth to sit on and then have a look at the new ribbon tool in fusion & and see how we can use it to create an additional element. We will also create our main Earth texture with animated details.
Chapter 03: Creating Effects Using Replicate3D
In this chapter we create additional effects around the earth. We will utilize the Replicate 3D node to help us out and we continue to buil layer upon layer of effects. We will also have a look at the openGL render and depth of field.
Chapter 04: Examining our Layers and begin to Grade
In this Chapter we will look at all of our prerendered layers and create even more effects for our shot. We will begin to grade our shot before committing it to render before we create our overlay
Chapter 05: Creating The Overlay For Our Shot
In this chapter we create the overlay. We will have a look at how to create and animate all the 2D elements needed for this. We will utilize any elements we have already created and lay them out for the overlay.
Chapter 06: Finishing The Grading and Reviewing Our Shot
In this chapter we will combine our BG and FG elements. We will continue with the grading with the goal of adding a volumetric look and feel. Finally we will commit to render and review the final output of the shot.
